We know motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for 15-20 year-olds, causing roughly one-third of all deaths for this age group; however, what you may not realize is May, June, July and August were among the top 5 deadliest months for young drivers in 2011. During the summer months, teens have a higher presence on our roads. They are attending prom, graduating, working, traveling and spending more time with friends. Be sure to talk with your teen about these safe driving tips this summer.
